Pretty pastel pink was all over the catwalks for Spring 2014 from Burberry to Isabel Marant, and if you haven't noticed already pink is all set to flirt its way into our spring summer wardrobes.
But pink doesn't have to be pretty. I personally love the colour pink but I'm also a bit of a tomboy so I find it hard to wear the colour without feeling silly.
I've decided to toughen up pink so not to look too 'girly' and put a sporty twist on spring's prettiest colour.

I've chosen a vintage pink Nike sweatshirt, which is actually from the men's department, as its not your typical pink jumper and paired it with a crisp white shirt underneath to make it look a little bit preppy. The jeans from Topshop are the perfect wash to couple with pink and I've continued the sporty vibe by choosing Ash's Bowie wedge trainers in metallic silver (another spring trend).
Pink on Pink on Pink. This might be too much pink for some but spring in London is all about layers and the Zara jacket adds structure and the Paul Costelloe mini bag is the final pink injection and brings it all together. Mixing different shades of pink also adds a different dimension to the look without looking too bubblegum.
See pink can be fun to wear even if you aren't the typical 'girly girl'.
